Hi everyone it's Amanda over at Understood Care. We've gotten a few questions about the dreaded end of life discussion and how our advocates can help you or your family. I know that seems really scary. Hospice services can be there for a lot of your chronic conditions that are end stage.
Really when you get to the last stages of these and you're kind of in limbo and just waiting to see what happens. You'll have weekly visits or sometimes more throughout the week. They also, most hospice services have some palliative care.
So if you sign up for hospice services and then in a few months you feel you don't need it. You can come off and they transition you to palliative care.
So that's typically a doctor or nurse practitioner that sees you once a month, sometimes twice a month. The companies I have personally worked with go above and beyond for all of their patients and then say your condition changes and you need the extra services for hospice.
They'll transition you back and you can go back and forth and that's fine. It's okay. That's why they're there.
So we can help get you in contact with these types of agencies and then checking in with you to see how you're doing with the services and if you need any help getting in touch with someone you have your advocate to be that person for you.
